• Q What is eSIM?
  A

  Sometimes known as electronic SIM cards, eSIM actually stands for embedded SIM. As the name suggests, this means that SIM functionality can now be integrated directly into the device, rather than a separate card needing to be inserted.

  In case you have the eSIM capable phone or tablet, you can use an eSIM instead of the regular physical SIM card.

• Q What will my phone number be?
  A

  TravelSim SIM cards come with a European number, starting with +372.

  You have also the possibility to buy the US number as an alternative number for an international eSIM.

• Q How to activate the data plans for eSIM?
  A

  Unlimited eSIM data plan is pre-activated. It means your eSIM will be connected to the networks as soon as you have installed the eSIM and you can start using the data.

  All the other data plans (except unlimited) need to be activated beforehand on your My Account page.

  Activate your data plan here with just one click.  Please bear in mind that if you do not activate your purchased data plan, your internet usage will be per MB and your credit could run out quickly.  You may wish to activate your data plan before your trip – and, if so, just bear in mind the timespan for which your data plan is valid.

• Q Is there a Fair Usage Policy for Unlimited Data Plan?
  A

  This eSIM includes unlimited data for the contracted time. However, we reserve the right to apply a Fair Usage Policy, as it applies to all other network users. The normal usage estimation is 90GB of data in a month, which makes 45GB per 14 days. You can use up to 25GB of data without any speed limitations. From 25 to 50 GB we may reduce the speed to between 256-1024KB to avoid affecting other users. This limitation is intended to prevent network saturation. We reserve the right to close the data consumption that exceeds the normal usage, above 50GB per 14 days. If you do not agree with all of these terms and conditions, then you are prohibited from using the service, and you must discontinue use immediately.

• Q How do I add credit, top-up my eSIM?
  A

  You can add credit easily online at any time. You simply have to choose whether you would like to add some airtime or a data plan and make the payment (via credit card, PayPal or other payment methods). After successful payment, your airtime is added to your SIM card.

  When you add a new data plan, please note that you still have to activate your data plan before the actual usage. Otherwise, you will use data per MB and your credit will run out more quickly.

  • Choose a data plan
  • Make payment
  • Activate the data plan here when you would like to start using it.
• Q Can I use same eSIM in different devices?
  A

  Please note, that if you have installed eSIM into one device, you can still install the same eSIM (use the same QR code) into another phone if you delete the eSIM from the first device (choose “Delate eSIM” from your phone menu). You can´t install the same eSIM into two devices at the same time.

• Q How long is the eSIM active?
  A

  TravelSim airtime/credit lasts one year (12 months) from your last recharge/top-up. Your eSIM card will stay “live” as long as you recharge/top-up once a year.
  You can use the same eSIM for your next travels. Just recharge/top-up your SIM cards with the suitable data plan or credit for calls&sms.

• Q Can I use Wifi Hotspot with Unlimited Data Plan?
  A

  Yes, you can use Wi-Fi Hotspot with Unlimited Data plan and with all other Travelsim data plans.
